Terms of Service
1. What this is
apfelserver ("the Service") is a semi-private, invite/approval-gated platform for sharing Minecraft mods and modpacks, operated by apfelmagnet32, a private individual based in Germany, on a non-commercial basis. It is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, or any other mod-hosting platform.
2. Accounts
- New accounts require admin approval (or are open/closed, depending on the current setting) before you can sign in.
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything that happens under your account.
- You must be old enough, under the law that applies to you, to agree to these terms on your own (in Germany, generally 16+, or you need a parent/guardian's consent).
- Don't share, sell, or let someone else use your account.
3. Content you upload
- You keep ownership of whatever you upload (mods, descriptions, images, etc.).
- By uploading, you give the Service a license to host, store, and make it available to other approved users, for as long as your project stays on the platform.
- You confirm you have the right to upload it — don't upload anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- If your project contains AI-generated content, third-party assets, or is monetized, you must disclose that honestly in the project's Disclosures section. Undisclosed violations may lead to removal.
- No malware, no illegal content, no harassment material.
4. Moderation
New projects and accounts are reviewed by admins/moderators before becoming visible to others. A project can be rejected or asked for changes — moderators may leave feedback on the project's Moderation tab. Admins can approve, reject, or remove any account or project at their discretion, including after the fact if something violates these terms.
5. No warranty, use at your own risk
The Service is provided "as is," run as a personal project on personal hardware. There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, data durability, or that it will be maintained indefinitely. Back up anything you can't afford to lose. To the extent permitted by law, the operator isn't liable for damages arising from your use of the Service.
6. Termination
The operator may suspend or delete any account or project at any time, for any reason, particularly for violating these terms. You can ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Changes
These terms may change as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law.
